The Two out of Three Rule... Master the Law of Reciprocal Attraction... How To Stay Open At All Times... and More.

** The Two out of Three Rule
By Adrian Newman, Founder of e-Wealth Daily

No matter what kind of business you're starting, running, expanding... it pays to know and apply the Two Out Of Three Rule.

It's a fair rule for you and your customers.  But unless you know this rule, you're likely to burn out of money and energy fast, and not even know what hit you.

The Two Out Of Three Rule says:  offer special customers (aren't they all!) a choice of two of the following three promises:

            (1) Fast service,
            (2) Top quality,
            (3) Great price.

All successful companies apply this rule.  Take a look at McDonald's.  The global restaurant chain that boasts "Billions and billions served" delivers on only two of three, service and price.  Quality is left out of their equation.

Now look at Tiffany's.  The high-end jewelry retailer, like the hamburger seller, delivers on only two of three.  But Tiffany's two are service and quality.  Price is not a prime consideration.

What two should you build your business on?  Here's how your choices break down:

Focusing on fast service at a good price means quality might suffer.  Focusing on quality and fast service means you'll need to charge top dollar.  Focusing on quality at a low price means your customers should not expect the fast delivery of your product or service.

This Two Out Of Three Rule should not be ignored -- for the sake of your success.  Any two will do, but my least favorite combination is (2) and (3).  This combo has you offering top quality at a low price, and allowing you to slack off on speedy delivery.  This stinks.  You're working extra hard to produce top quality, you're getting paid less... and you wait longer between paydays.

My personal favorite combo is (1) and (2), the Tiffany's model.  This combo has you providing your customers with top quality, fast.  And it also allows you to charge top dollar.

Or you could succeed by providing exceptional service and a low price, if you can afford to give way on quality.  It's the McDonald's model.  And it's a model that has made many richer than you or I could ever hope to be.

So what's the best way for you to use the Two Out Of Three Rule?  The McDonald's model?  Tiffany's?  As always, it depends.

Someone starting a home renovation business would take combo (2) and (3) because anyone getting a reno knows, it takes a bit of time to get good work.

However, if you wanted to make a recurring income starting an a courier business, then combo (1) and (2) might be the best route
to go.

Even better, you can offer the “combos” for whatever you decide. Let’s take the home reno business:

You can tell individual clients that you’ll have their reno done fast at a great price, but the materials are going to be less than superb. Or you can tell them you need a bit of time, but the quality is going to be fantastic! Or you can tell them that you’ll get it done fast, with good quality, but they’re going to have to pay!

It’s really up to you and don’t be afraid to play around with this rule to see which one nets you the most money.

** Master the Law of Reciprocal Attraction
By Doug D'Anna, the "Hundred-Million-Dollar Man"

It is an old saying, but it still holds a strong message—what goes around comes around.  It really could not be any truer. Despite this, most people in their climb to success focus only on their ultimate goal and ignore this simple truth.

That’s why, if you can master what I call the law of reciprocity you will continue to be unstoppable in the pursuit of your dreams. Like the power of appreciation, the law of reciprocal attraction works in the same way, yet on a much deeper level.

Simply put, when you do something nice for others, the desire to do something nice for you is also there. This means that if you help someone achieve their goal, the chances that they will help you, or that they do their best to help you, is pretty good.

But, you must be truthful when helping someone else. If you are only aiding others for purely selfish reasons, people will immediately see right through you and will never help you out as a result. You must really want to help someone else in order for them to want to help you. And, never, ever make someone feel as though they owe you a favor in return because you gave them a helping hand.

In order to show people that you really are honest and sincere, you must continuously remind people of their true value. Show them both through your words and your actions that you value their time and that they matter to you.

The moment you begin to do this, a certain kind of magic will begin to occur both in your relationship and in the individual. Not only will they begin to see you in a favorable light but they will also see for themselves the benefits you bring to them. As a result they will reciprocate their own positive energy toward you.

These observations are not based solely my thoughts and experiences, either. Numerous studies have shown that the more interest you show others, the more interest they will show you in return. It is extremely simple, really. However, oftentimes we forget to let others know how important they are to us. And, one of the biggest mistakes we can make is to not show a genuine interest in others. After all, if your actions show that you are not interested in others then why should they be interested in you?

Mark my words—if you can make the law of reciprocity the foundation for your relationships, there is nobody that you won’t be able to win over in the pursuit of your dreams.

** How To Stay Open At All Times
By Michael Newman, the "Money Finder"

One of the keys to becoming great at networking is mastering the ability of being easy to approach and also being able to carry a conversation. These are characteristics you want to shine through to people instantly so they can recognize you as someone they believe to be trustworthy and business-oriented.

What I mean is you don’t want to create unnecessary barriers between yourself and prospective business partners, clients and even customers.

However, many fresh entrepreneurs are unaware of the hurdles their body language and personal presentation are creating that could be getting in the way on their road to success.

When you know you’re going to be in a situation that will allow you to meet with a lot of business owners and entrepreneurs you want to make sure you dress appropriately.

For men, wearing a suit is the best way to convey a business-minded attitude. The classic suit jacket works well because the lapels create an illusion extending your chest and broadening your shoulders. This gives you a more serious presence and the extra bulk of the jacket can actually help to hide unwanted messages your body may send.

You see, nervousness can sneak through at any time and may express itself by causing you to shrug your shoulders, which is a clear indication of uncertainty. A suit jacket will help to hide subtle posture changes like this one, but you also want to work on your posture to further avoid this from happening to you.

Many people don’t stand up straight and end up leaning against chairs and walls. This posture may be fine when relaxing at the cottage, but you don’t want to slip into leaning when you’re talking business. You can practice improving your posture at home by trying to keep an open and approachable posture no matter whom you are talking to.

Try not to practice in public because the more you focus on your posture the less you’ll be able to stay relaxed.

And when the time comes and you are making introductions be sure to talk clearly and avoid using words other people may not understand. Save the lengthy business terms and confusing short forms for more serious discussions. You want your language to project confidence and knowledge. Big words and fancy terms may prove that you know what you are talking about, but they can often be interpreted as trying to show off.

Having an open and approachable attitude and posture can help you attract new business, new clients and new customers.  You may even notice an improvement in your social life as well, as a confident posture and manner is still highly valued by most everyone.
